Fighting Plastic Pollution: Embryolisse Switches to Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP)
Embryolisse is taking a significant step in eco-conscious packaging by adopting Prevented Ocean Plastic™ (POP). This innovative move demonstrates our commitment to reducing plastic pollution and protecting our oceans.
What is Prevented Ocean Plastic™?
POP is a revolutionary type of plastic that's collected from areas at high risk of ocean pollution. This means it's sourced from within 30 miles of coastlines or waterways that lead to the ocean.
POP: Transforming Ocean-Bound Plastic Waste
Collection efforts prioritize regions often overwhelmed by waste due to rapid population growth or heavy tourism and where the risk to local wildlife is important.
Once recovered, the plastic is transported to collection centers for sorting and processing. It's then ground down into high-quality pellets. These pellets, made entirely from this recycled material, are used to create new plastic bottles that are themselves 100% recycled and fully recyclable.
Our Goal by End of 2025: All Embryolisse Plastic Bottles Made with 100% Prevented Ocean Plastic
We aim to transition all Embryolisse plastic bottles to 100% POP by the end of 2025. This initiative will prevent an estimated 2.32 tons of plastic from entering our oceans annually.
This estimate is based on our production volume of various bottle sizes.
Introducing Our First 100% POP Bottle: Eau de Beauté Rosamélis
We're proud to announce that our Eau de Beauté Rosamélis is the first Embryolisse product to feature 100% POP packaging.
This new eco-friendly bottle will help divert 1.12 tons of plastic from the ocean.
This number is calculated from the production of units of the Eau de Beauté Rosamelis.
